Letters of Recommendation

This page has been updated as of February 9, 2024.

Additional updates on March 12, 2024 as noted below.

Chapters would like Letters of Recommendation to be sent to chapters beginning on June 1.  If you have already sent in letters of recommendation, don't worry!  They will not be discarded.

Letters of Recommendation are simply letters of reference written by an alumna of a sorority to her sorority’s chapter at the University of Arkansas.  It is appropriate and highly encouraged for you to obtain your own letters of recommendation.  You can begin this process by informing friends, teachers, and relatives that you are participating in formal recruitment at the University of Arkansas.  The alumna can either write a personal letter of reference or obtain a standard form from National Chapter Headquarters.  Many local Alumnae Panhellenic Associations will also provide forms to women.  The University of Arkansas Panhellenic Council does not provide these forms.

Letters of Recommendation must be sent directly to individual chapters as directed below.  Any letters must be postmarked by August 1, 2024.

Alpha Chi Omega

Alpha Chi Omega's recommendation process is 100% online at www.alphachiomega.org.   A letter of recommendation is to be submitted on the Alpha Chi Omega Headquarters website by an alumna.  We highly recommend at least one letter of recommendation.

Alpha Delta Pi
The chapter of Alpha Delta Pi encourages at least one letter of recommendation; however, it is not required.  Our recommendation process is entirely online this year.  Letters of recommendation can be submitted through our national website: https://alphadeltapi.org.  Please submit the forms as directed.  All potential new members are welcome to fill out the "Introduce Yourself" form also found on the website.  The Introduce Yourself form was created so that all PNMs have accessibility even if they do not know an alumna.

Kappa Delta

Kappa Delta chapters do not require any of the optional recruitment forms for a woman to be considered for membership. Recruitment forms can serve as a helpful introduction to the chapter and provide additional information about a potential new member (PNM).  Having an optional recommendation does not guarantee an invitation of membership.  If you wish to fill out one of the recommendation forms, follow the instructions at the link below and submit online, or mail it to the provided address.
