The Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity is the only social/professional agriculture fraternity on campus and in the nation. While AGR’s roots may be in agriculture, we at AGR embrace possible members in the widest variety majors possible. We pride ourselves on bringing together men of all backgrounds, interests, and goals. Members of the fraternity are currently majoring in business, chemistry, engineering, and even kinesiology. We pride ourselves on bringing together the most outstanding young men on campus and in the college of agriculture.
The men of Alpha Gamma Rho firmly believe in the ultimate benefits of scholarship, leadership, brotherhood and social development. As gentlemen and scholars, Alpha Gamma Rho has a history of being rewarded for its GPA and contains members with Chancellor’s Scholarships, Prestigious Fellowships, and a variety of privately awarded scholarships. We have also received the Award of Excellence for the last four consecutive years. Men of Alpha Gamma Rho are given an unprecedented chance for leadership within the chapter, a chance that no other fraternity can offer. Our members have held leadership positions in a variety of clubs and service organizations on campus as well as holding leadership positions on the IFC executive board. Alpha Gamma Rho possesses an unbelievable level of brotherhood amongst its members. The members of the chapter possess the strongest bonds of friendship and camaraderie of any fraternity on campus. AGR believes firmly in the social development of its members and aids in this development by hosting our own trademark social events such as Cotton Row and Margaritaville. AGR members also participate in Intramural Sports, Campus Activities, and a variety of non-alcoholic events such as the IFC cook-off, Sober Bowl, and Friday Night Live.
