Phi Gamma Delta
Phi Alpha Chapter
Phi Gamma Delta, founded in 1848, stands strong with over 130 chapters located at prominent universities and colleges. The Phi Alpha Chapter, founded in 1968, has remained active in the University of Arkansas Greek system over the years. The values of Phi Gamma Delta are the cornerstones to a well-rounded man. As brothers we pride ourselves on the promotion of friendship, knowledge, service, morality and excellence.
Leadership is a quality that Phi Gamma Delta believes all members must develop. From athletics to community service, the variety of extracurricular activities that Phi Gamma Delta participates in is widespread throughout our campus. The Phi Alpha Chapter has been involved in the donation of canned goods, money, and time to the Northwest Arkansas Battered Women's Shelter, Jefferson Elementary, Springdale Children's Shelter, and Habitat for Humanity.
The brothers of Phi Alpha are also involved in other activities. We are active on campus and involved in numerous clubs and honor societies. The highlight of the year for Phi Gamma Delta is our annual function, known as Islander. Islander is a national event held by every FIJI chapter throughout the country. Other popular themed events throughout the year include Blackout, Gangster's Paradise, Icelander, Foam Party and Paint War.
